nume partners with OneDome to pilot the Mortgage Freedom Pot with mortgage advisers
nume is partnering with OneDome to pilot the Mortgage Freedom Pot with OneDome's mortgage advisers, starting in October 2026. After the pilot, we plan to offer the Mortgage Freedom Pot through lenders, estate agents and other brokers.
What the Mortgage Freedom Pot is
The Mortgage Freedom Pot is a Stocks and Shares ISA available through nume. It holds index funds only and is built for homeowners who want to grow a pot alongside their mortgage, which they can choose to put towards it later. It does not guarantee you will pay your mortgage off sooner. Capital at risk.
- Tracked against your mortgage. Each monthly contribution is shown in the nume app next to your mortgage balance, so you can see how far the pot could go towards your loan.
- A quarterly statement. You receive a statement showing your mortgage balance and your pot. You can choose to share it with your mortgage adviser.
- Index funds only. Your pot is invested in diversified index funds from providers including Dimensional, BlackRock and Vanguard, not single shares. Your money and assets are held with Interactive Brokers.
- Your money stays yours. You can withdraw from your pot at any time.
The pot does not reduce your mortgage balance or the interest you pay on its own. If you have an interest-only mortgage, the app shows your pot against the amount due at the end of your term. Any repayment strategy must be acceptable to your lender, and there is no guarantee the pot will cover the full balance.
Why we are working with OneDome
Many homeowners want to put money aside for their mortgage but may not have enough to make paid financial advice worthwhile. Working with OneDome's advisers means more borrowers can see their mortgage and their savings in one place, and keep in touch with their adviser between deals.
"More borrowers are asking whether to overpay their mortgage or invest. We help them see both options side by side," said Asis Tewari, co-founder of nume. "We don't give advice, so the decisions stay with the customer."
"When clients ask about ways to pay down their mortgage, nume gives us a practical solution to offer them, and a reason to stay in touch beyond the transaction," said Mobeen Akram, head of new homes and partnerships at OneDome.
Seminars with Coreco
We will also run seminars with Coreco, part of the OneDome group, on whether to overpay a mortgage or invest. See our upcoming events.

You can compare overpaying your mortgage with investing using our calculator. nume does not give personal advice. Read the press coverage on Mortgage Solutions.
As with any investment, capital is at risk and the value of the pot can fall as well as rise, so you may get back less than you put in. Diversification does not remove the risk of loss. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
If you invest, your capital is at risk. The value of investments can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you invest.
